Manage your domain - nameservers, contacts and transfers

Updated 3 hours ago 4 views

Open Services, then click Manage next to your domain.

Change nameservers

Nameservers decide where your website and email are hosted.

  1. Open the Nameservers tab.
  2. Enter the new nameservers (at least two) and click Update Nameservers.

Changes can take up to 24–48 hours to work everywhere. If your hosting is with SiteHarbour, use the nameservers from your hosting welcome email.

Update the contact details

Open the Whois tab, correct the details and click Update. Use a real email address: the registry may send you messages that need a reply.

Privacy protection

On the Privacy tab you can switch privacy protection on, so your personal details are hidden in public WHOIS records, or off.

Transfer your domain to another provider

  1. Open the Protection tab and click Unlock. A locked domain cannot be transferred.
  2. Open the Transfer tab and click Get EPP Code. The code (also called auth code or domain secret) is shown there.
  3. Give the code to your new provider and start the transfer there.

Lock the domain again if you change your mind. Transfers are usually not possible within 60 days of registration or a previous transfer.

Dates

The Details tab shows when the domain was registered and when it expires. Click Sync Now to refresh them from the registry.
